Wow, what a busy week we have just had!
Rik spent last weekend in Nottingham visiting his sister and family. He had planned on going up to take some portfolio shots of his neice who has recently filmed a television advert through her agency 'Bizzykidz'. She needed to boost her modelling portfolio and required some studio based shots. Word got around that Rik was coming up and requests starting coming in for studio shoots. In the end Rik also had the opportunity to photograph 4 additional clients and throughly enjoyed his long weekend away. The feedback from these shoots was really positive and we are hoping to make trips to Nottingham on a regular basis...watch this space.
We were really excited to take a call from a new client who has asked us to photograph their new baby next week at only 9 days old! We are incredibly excited about this shoot and have already put our heads together to think of some new and original ideas. Newborn baby photography is an area of our portfolio we are hoping to focus on over the coming months. We will be putting more information about newborn baby packages on our updated website very soon.
As well as processing pictures and sending out completed discs to recent clients, Rik has also been spending time working on our website again. We have grown and developed our business so much since we rebranded as RKphotography that we felt that it was time to change the overall look of our website and make some changes to our package and pricing options. Our clients will be pleased to know that this will not mean price increases, just more options and clearer information.
Today we met with Sam and Olivia whose wedding we are photographing in April. It was lovely to catch up with them again and chat about the finer details of their special day. We pride ourselves on spending time with our wedding couples at various points during the planning stage and never underestimate the importance of working with the venues themselves to ensure everything goes smoothly on the day. We always offer to photograph the wedding rings in advance as part of our standard practice. Sam and Olivia were really keen for us to do this as they wanted to use a picture of the rings on their 'Order of Service'. We will be working on the ring shots during this week.
There is lots to look forward to which is great news. Keep an eye on our changing website and facebook page (still Rik Irons-Mclean photography) for new images and daily events.
Karen.
I was one of the lucky people in Nottingham to have my photos taken by Rik. I received my disc today and I must say I am very pleased with the result. I do not consider myself to be photogenic and I am usually camera shy but I must say I am very happy with the result, so much so one of them is on Facebook as my profile picture. Thank you Rik
